What some of my students said:

Mark is an amazing teacher - I had both acting and singing lessons with him and learnt so much in a positive environment. Even though we were on zoom it was the most I have ever learnt and allowed me to get an agent through his guidance. I would fully recommend Mark to anyone, for acting or singing :)

Mark has been the missing piece in finding who I am as an actor. His advice and notes and perspectives on acting have made me see the craft in a completely different way, and finally have more fun with it. I am booking now because I’m not trying to fit a category. I am showing myself. Simply. I value Mark as an acting coach and I look forward to keeping that connection strong for quite honestly years to come. Thank you Mark.

Sebastian. NYC

Mark gives simple understandable prompts and adjustments that have powerful application. He has really helped me decode some of the ways I overcomplicated acting. I feel so much more relaxed and prepared after studying with him.

Bella. Age 23. NYC

Mark is a fantastic teacher! I had him for my Foundations course with AMAW NYC via Zoom back in 2020 and I could not think of a better person to bring me back into the craft after having been away from it for a while. He is kind, honest, and will push you out of your comfort zone while still making you feel like you’re in a safe space. Can’t recommend him enough!

In the first class I worked with Mark, I instantly felt welcomed by the supportive environment he created to open up and be myself. In just a few sessions of working together, he has so aptly been able to spot things that I have felt are holding me back, and has a sixth sense for what an actor needs - not only on a teaching level, but on a soul one, which is so important in this kind of work. His success in his personal and professional life as well is an inspiration and you can trust that what he is teaching works. Can't wait to continue to grow with him.

Justin. Age 29. NYC

Mark is such a thoughtful and understanding teacher who truly wants the best for every student. He is supportive but pushes someone when they need it. And he made the work fun for me again!

Nora. Age 29. NYC

Mark is an incredibly talented and charismatic actor which by itself is an inspiration but when he teaches it becomes all about the actor and the story and his notes are so specific that it really makes you feel special and SEEN . I can’t wait for him to be teaching a master class! Count me in.

Nahar. Age 33. NYC

Mark made such a wonderful impact on me and my acting! I am so thankful that I joined his virtual acting class in 2020! At that point, I hadn't acted in 4 years. Mark's very honest and human approach to scene work gave me the confidence I needed and reignited my passion for acting. Since then I have been in two movies and I wouldn't have felt empowered to go after these opportunities if it wasn't for Mark!

A little more about my teaching

If you’ve landed on this page you’re looking for a teacher or a coach. Let me tell you a little about my approach and why I’m so passionate about teaching.

My current weekly schedule involves a variety of group scene study classes, large mastery classes in acting, workshops and many private coaching students.

I spent twelve years in the UK teaching, directing and coaching at some of London’s most prestigious theatre schools and I have a huge passion for promoting youth theatre in particular.

In 2006 I founded and directed the annual summer school ‘West End In Wales’ in order to bridge the gap between North Wales and the West End.I provided young talent in Wales the opportunity to work alongside myself and many West End professionals in a week long intensive course, culminating in an impressive hour-long showcase performed to two packed audiences. ‘West End In Wales’ ran for six consecutive years before I moved permanently to America in 2012.

I have been a mastery-class teacher at Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop NYC since 2016 supporting professional actors in their quest for the most dropped in, connected human experience in their acting work.

I have more than twenty years experience which has enabled me to develop a deep understanding of how to bring the most of YOU into the work.

I’ve worked with and learned from many of the best teachers, directors and casting directors in the world. The knowledge I’ve absorbed combined with my own confidence boosting methods of teaching result in my students leaving their sessions feeling inspired, better prepared and deeply skilled in their craft.

I look forward to supporting you in your growth as an artist.

Mark :)
